This guide will step you through creating your own assessment quiz to add to your course. To learn how to build a course click here.
NOTE: To access the Quiz Builder module the user needs to have the group role of 'Course Builder'.
1. From the 'Manage' tab
2. Select 'Quiz Builder'
3. Click Add quiz template
4. Name your quiz template
5. Give your quiz template a code then save.
6. Fill in the default message details
These are the details that will be the defaults for the questions that can be overridden at the question level
You can also enter html code into the boxes and reference the custom box inputs from other boxes

7. Create Questions
Only once you have completed adding the quiz template and default messages click 'Save'. The next step is to add your questions.
Click the 'Create Question' link
8. Select Question Type
NOTE: You only get to choose this once and if you choose the wrong type the only thing you can do is delete the question or make the question inactive so it doesn't show up in the final quiz.
Question Types:
Choice = multiple choice type
Essay = typing in a response
Likert = is a radio button type of input
Message = Message only
Form = data input

Example Choice Type Question:
You can use this question type to create multiple choice or multi-choice questions.
Select 'Choice' from the 'Question Type' drop-down box when you click to add a new question.
Enter your question details as above then save the question template.
Only once you save can you then add the choice of answer options or items.
